Message from the Executive Director

The Global Studies Institute – Qatar is a unique organization designed to offer students and citizens in Qatar opportunities grounded in educational and professional growth. We leverage our resources and technology solutions to provide students with world-class educational experiences. In addition, we partner with international universities and institutions to offer academic and professional programs that meet the needs of the local job market and empower candidates with skills required to enhance their employability. We currently partner with three American universities: Arkansas State University, the University of South Carolina, and the State University of New York (SUNY) Adirondack.

As facilitators for university programs, we help students apply to the program of their choice among our university partners and continue to support them as they join the student body. Students attend classes in our facilities but receive instruction from university faculty based in the United States of America. In addition, our live-classroom technology—licensed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar—fosters an engaging classroom environment that promotes interactive exchanges between faculty and students.

Our programs offer options for students to study cybersecurity, digital technology and design, engineering management systems, and education and business leadership. High school graduates who are still uncertain about a study path in college can join our liberal arts program to explore various subjects and discover their passions and interests. Students can also take courses and transfer these credits to any partner university (after one year) if they wish to travel to a different country or pursue a different university program within Qatar.

It is our goal to be known as an institute of “options and opportunities” wherein students and professionals can find academic courses and workshops designed to improve their language skills and professional practices. Today, we are encouraged and determined to offer even more opportunities as we expand our programs to serve high school graduates and professionals in education and other industries.

At GSI, we are so excited to open up a world of brand-new opportunities for knowledge seekers in Qatar. At the same time, we are committed to ensuring students receive an authentic and rigorous educational experience in a learning environment that promotes academic and professional growth along with personal responsibility and resilience.

Do not hesitate to contact us to learn more about how we can help you discover the options and opportunities best suited for your own personal needs.
